Professor Alberto Donayre, who belongs to the Department of Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering, is one of the winners of the competition “Mobilizations for AMSUD research” sponsored by Prociencia. The winning project is entitled “Bioinformatics system to produce programmable biomaterials with artificial intelligence” , which proposes the combination of synthetic biology in combination with AI in the Escherichia coli system as a platform for the assembly of extracellular matrix-like materials (ECM) driven by mathematical algorithms. This project also has the participation of Professor Diana Parada as co-researcher, who belongs to the same academic department and is developed in collaboration with the Diego Portales University of Chile. We wish you every success!
