Courses
- Physical-Mechanical Separation Operations: The class is highly practical and deals with the main technologies and practices for working with mixtures of substances and materials that can be processed based on their physical properties. On the one hand, operations are studied separation based on the principles of applied fluid mechanics, such as agitation,
mixing, fluidization, filtration and flotation. On the other, the operations applied to particulate solids are addressed, such as their transport, screening and storage. Likewise, the technologies of magnetic and electrostatic separation are also studied.
- Thesis I: The class, of a theoretical-practical nature, aims to guide the student through the scientific method, as a structured and logical process. It provides practical tools for the student to define a problem in a given situation and structure a suitable process for its solution. You will be able to adequately define the problem; delimit the state of the art with an analysis of the bibliographic references found in a deep search; set clear objectives, and use a methodology consistent with the search for the solution.
