We congratulate Bioengineering student Diego Muñoz, who, from December 6 to 14, was part of the UN Conference on Biodiversity (COP15), organized in Montreal, Canada. Diego was one of six delegates selected as part of the iGEM Foundation’s Biodiversity Youth Leadership Program.
During his participation he attended discussions and working groups on synthetic biology and its impact on biodiversity conservation. He also shared his own experiences and projects on this topic at the iGEM Competition, and networked with other young people from different fields and regions.
